Did you ever wonder how many pop songs have been written with ‘time’ somehow mentioned either in the title or the lyrics? Google it and you’ll find that time is a very common theme in popular music over the past 70 years or more! I’ll date myself here, but there’s a song I really like from the Byrds in 1965 based on Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. The song begins with these lyrics:

To everything turn, turn, turn… There is a season turn, turn, turn… And a time to every purpose under Heaven (follow the link, below, if you’d like to hear it)

Turn! Turn! Turn! (To Everything There Is A Season)

I’d like to suggest taking some reflective time this week to name the season you’re leaving, entering, or in the middle of. Reflecting on the past 6 months, I recognize that I’ve come through a season of relational and inner-life turmoil, and am now entering a season that I’d characterize as hopeful and promising. Whew! What about you? Can you put a name to the season (or time) you’re in now? I’d like to accompany you over the next week as you explore and name your season. Go ahead and enter Day 1 when you’re ready.
